Rohit Shetty’s film set to follow strict access rules

Reportedly, nearly 60 security personnel will be stationed on the set, following a two-tier system, one comprising local police and the other made up of Shetty’s personal security team. The filmmaker will operate within a strictly controlled access zone, with only a select few allowed near him. All individuals entering the set, including junior artistes, vendors, and daily-wage crew members, must be pre-registered and carry valid ID proof.
On-the-spot entries will be prohibited. Additionally, vehicle movement will be tightly supervised, with all equipment trucks and vanity vans required to be pre-cleared and logged at designated entry points. Production details will be closely guarded. Call sheets will be circulated selectively, and shoot locations will be disclosed in a staggered manner. The timing and exact locations will be shared strictly on a need-to-know basis.

Rohit Shetty’s Rakesh Maria biopic temporarily on hold

In the meantime, Rohit’s upcoming biopic on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, starring John Abraham, has been temporarily stalled. The project, which kicked off filming in April 2025, last saw action in South Mumbai. As reported, only about two weeks of shoot time are left, but the team is now reassessing the schedule. Rohit was in Ooty for a recce until January 30, but given the recent developments, the remaining shoot will be re-evaluated.

Film bodies condemn attack on Rohit Shetty

The recent firing incident has triggered strong outrage across film industry circles. Prominent associations, including the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) and the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA), publicly denounced the act. AICWA, in its statement, drew parallels with past violent episodes involving Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and the tragic murder of Baba Siddique, noting an alarming pattern. “This reflects a systematic attempt to create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation within the film industry," the association stated.
