3ill’s GVND and whoisavi Explore Inner Conflict on New Single ‘Amrit’

Kochi-based rapper GVND and producer whoisavi, both key members of the collective 3ill, have released their new single ‘Amrit’, now streaming across all major platforms. Serving as an interlude from their forthcoming album Brahmandam, the track is an introspective exploration of mental health, emotional unrest and the pursuit of inner balance. Central to the song is the Malayalam phrase “Samanalayude thulabhaaram,” meaning “the balance of the state of mind,” which captures the emotional essence of the project. Blending atmospheric Carnatic influences with contemporary hip-hop production, ‘Amrit’ creates a deeply immersive and meditative soundscape. The duo describes the track as an emotional “elixir,” inspiring the title itself. Speaking about the track, GVND said, “‘Amrit’ is the interlude from our album Brahmandam, which is lyrically an introspection of difficult mental spaces. The phrase ‘Samanalayude thulabhaaram’ reflects the idea of balancing one’s state of mind, which runs through the album.” whoisavi added, “‘Amrit’ is a very personal track for me. I wanted to create something that evolves emotionally and sonically — something rooted, atmospheric and visceral. It represents the kind of experience GVND and I want our music to embody.” Known for fusing Malayalam and English in his music, GVND has emerged as a distinct voice in South Indian hip-hop through conscious lyricism, spiritual introspection and Carnatic-inspired influences. Meanwhile, whoisavi is recognized for his textured production style, combining haunting Carnatic samples, heavy basslines and immersive sonic elements.
