Will Smith faces sexual harassment, wrongful termination lawsuit from violinist over 2025 tour
Will Smith is rocking the headlines again for all the wrong reasons. This time, the actor has been sued by a violinist, who has accused the actor of sacking him for reporting a sexual assault on his tour. Let's learn more in detail.
Brian accused the Hollywood actor of "predatory behavior." He went on to add that Smith "deliberately" groomed and primed him for "further sexual exploitation" during the tour last year.
As per the USA Today report, a complaint has been filed on December 31 at the Los Angeles court. In it, the violinist stated that when he returned to his hotel room booked by Smith's company during the tour, he found someone had entered and left a sexual message, wipes, HIV medication, a beer bottle, and a person's name on it. Not just that, the musician claimed that he also found hospital discharge paperwork that belonged to the person in the room.
As per the report, the note read, "Brian, I'll be back no later 5:30, just us (drawn heart), Stone F."
The complaint further stated that after Joseph reported the incident to the hotel staff and tour management, they accused him of lying and blamed him as well. The musician stated that five days after the incident, he was fired from the company.
Brian added that he was replaced by another violinist quickly. He emphasized the fact that he was fired for "pretextual" reasons.
The violinist added after hiring him in November 2024, they "began spending additional time alone." Joseph recalled Will Smith commenting, "You and I have such a special connection that I don't have with anyone else."
The lawsuit claimed that Brian suffered from PTSD and economic loss after the termination. The musician has expressed in the suit that the damages be determined by a jury. Meanwhile, Will Smith or his representative has not commented anything on this matter as of now.
