Tom Holland on 'Spider-Man' costume: Actor explains why he gets a new suit 'every two weeks'

Tom Holland hilariously admits that his ‘Spider-Man’ suit does get a little musty after performing stunts all day long in different places with various people – and it gets changed once every fortnight. The 29-year-old has been busy with the production of the new installment of the superhero franchise, and fans are loving every second of the behind-the-scenes footage.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Holland was asked whether he needed a strong fragrance after putting on the iconic costume that gets a little smelly. As a response, he said, “Yeah, it definitely does.” “I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon,” he added.



Elsewhere in the interview, Tom Holland opened up about being in a room that shapes ‘Spider-Man’ into the fan-favourite superhero. As he wants to do justice to the character, he never fails to read and research about what fans care about and what could be better for his role. “I think so. I have such a good understanding of who Peter Parker is, and I have been so lucky that the fan base has been so vocal about what they love from the franchise,” he said.

Additionally, Holland pointed out that Peter Parker feels like a best friend to him. While diving into the character after a long break from the spidey world had a weird experience, Holland felt like he was hanging out with his old friend. The actor confirmed that what they were shooting in Glasgow was “absolute gold.”

“I want to bring the fans something that’s really worthy of their time, and I’m very grateful for their investment in our franchise. I don’t mean financially, I mean the time to go to the cinema three times,” Holland expressed his gratitude to his fans.
