In a TMZ report, the couple’s death certificates revealed that they passed away within minutes of each other. It was stated that they both had “multiple sharp force injuries”, which became the cause of their untimely passing. It was also revealed that Rob Reiner was found at 3:45 PM, while Michele was found at 3:46 PM.

As per a New York Times report, the couple was found by their daughter, who had gone to check up on her parents. She found her father and rushed to call the paramedics. In an official statement, it was shared that she did not know of her mother’s passing until much later.

In relation to the ongoing investigation into the passing of Rob and Michele Reiner, their 32-year-old son Nick has been arrested by the authorities. He remains in custody without any possible bail and is awaiting his first trial hearing. In another report by TMZ, the man has also been put on suicide watch.

On December 17, only days after their parents’ passing, Jake and Romy released a joint statement to People, addressing the matter. They said, “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren't just our parents; they were our best friends.”
