Stephen's family members shared the sad news in a warm statement, calling him a devoted family man and an artist. Numerous fans and friends are mourning and reminiscing about the roles he performed in films and TV shows.His family released a statement to the press stating, "Our father, Stephen Hibbert, passed away unexpectedly this week."" They went on to say that he was a loving person, both to his family and his craft. Hibbert was honored and respected throughout the industry for his friendly demeanor and passion for creativity. His cameo as the "Gimp" in the film "Pulp Fiction" is one of the most notoriously talked-about scenes from the cult classic 1994 film.Stephen Hibbert is a native of Fleetwood who has had an eclectic career as a writer and as an actor. Before making his mark as an actor, he was a writer for Late Night with David Letterman from 1984 to 1986.
During his writing career, he contributed to several popular television programs, including Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, MADtv, and Boy Meets World. He also co-wrote the comedy It's Pat: The Movie in 1994 with his then-wife Julia Sweeney, who created the androgynous character Pat on Saturday Night Live.Hibbert’s acting career included several memorable appearances in film and television. Apart from Pulp Fiction, he appeared in movies such as Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and The Cat in the Hat. He first appeared on television in the 1987 episode of the sitcom 'Newhart' and then guest-starred on various shows, including 'Just Shoot Me!'Jericho,' 'True Jackson,' and 'Dr. Ken.'” Even though he had mostly short roles, they were all memorable enough to be remembered by the audience for ages.
