Mark Ruffalo takes a stand for Billie Eilish; tells Kevin O’Leary to ‘STFU It’s hilarious’ after ‘stolen land’ comment
‘Wildflower’ singer Billie Eilish recently made history after she took home the Song of the Year plaque at the Grammys on Sunday. Although Billie Eilish has been facing a lot of backlash over her ‘stolen land’ comment at the Grammys 2026 speech, she has gained an equal amount of supporters. It was also pointed out that her LA home is situated on indigenous land, with many citing that she should move out and give the land to the tribe that it belongs to. Following the ongoing hatred directed towards the singer, many people have come forward with their support for the idol. This includes ‘Avengers’ star Mark Ruffalo as well.
Ruffalo, who is best known for playing the role of the green giant Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took to his account to call out the TV personality for his comments. You will go on any show and talk shit about any number of things and smugly expect us to listen to you, but you will dig into a real artist that dwarfs anything you dream of doing for actually saying something that resonates with 100’s of millions of people the world over. It’s astounding the fantasy double standard Kevin O’Leary lives in.”
Ruffalo further sarcastically commented about how his ‘Marty Supreme’ role was accurate to his personality. O’Leary played the role of a cutthroat businessman, Milton Rockwell. The businessman had earlier commented about celebrities getting into politics.
O’Leary commented, “Half the people in politics that you piss off won’t buy your music anymore. Don’t be stupid about it, but hey, they don’t listen. It’s the first lesson 101 for celebrity: As you rise up, whether you’re a film star, a music star [or] whatever, shut your mouth and just entertain.”
The actor is currently promoting his latest film ‘Crime 101’ in which he co-stars with Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry.
