Before becoming a star in Hollywood, ‘13 Going on 30’ actress
Judy Greer had her own share of struggles. As she recalls her role in the 2001 rom-com ‘The Wedding Planner’ on the film’s 25-year anniversary, the actress recently shared a hilarious experience with the movie’s main lead, Matthew McConaughey.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Judy Greer shared an incident when she was “so broke” that she couldn’t get her car out of a valet service her first time meeting the cast, and how Matthew McConaughey saved the day for her.

“Before we started shooting, we did a table read, and we did it at the Roosevelt Hotel, and I valeted my car,” she told the outlet. “I didn't know any better.”
However, when she went to get her car at the end of the day, she "didn't have enough money."
Realizing she couldn’t pay for valet, she frantically called her friend, Sean Gunn, from a pay phone in the lobby for help. “Matthew McConaughey overheard me and gave me USD 20,” she recalled, laughing. “I was so mortified, but also, like, 'My hero.' ”

In the conversation, Judy Greer recalled her experience with the film and how it left a lasting impression on her. She fondly reminisced about the atmosphere on set, especially when it came to McConaughey.
“The thing I remember about that movie was how lovely [he] was. I loved seeing him in hair and makeup every morning, 'cause he had, like, pajamas on and a Yerba Mate,” Greer told the outlet. “I haven't worked with him since, but I have a feeling not much has changed.”
