Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet is in for a historic payday. The actor, who will headline James Mangold’s upcoming heist thriller 'High Side', will reportedly do so for a staggering $25 million. According to reports, the film marks Chalamet’s second collaboration with the director, after the critically acclaimed Bob Dylan biopic 'A Complete Unknown' (2024), which scored an impressive Oscar nominations.According to the report on The New York Times, Chalamet’s record-breaking deal makes him the youngest Hollywood star, since Jennifer Lawrence to score a huge upfront payment for the property. Oscar-winner, Lawrence was reportedly paid $25 million for her role in Netflix’s 'Don’t Look Up', a film that saw her shared screenspace in a supporting role.Chalamet, who first rose to fame with his Oscar-nominated turn in 'Call Me by Your Name' (2017), has since gone on to star in films spanning from period dramas like 'Little Women' (2019), box office blockbuster franchises like Denis Villeneuve’s 'Dune' saga, and more. The actor’s packed schedule includes 'Marty Supreme', a quirky biopic loosely inspired by table tennis legend Marty Reisman. The film also stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Abel Ferrara, Tyler, the Creator, Kevin O’Leary, and Fran Drescher. The film is slated for release on Christmas Day 2025. Meanwhile, Chalamet will also return to his role as Paul Atreides in 'Dune: Part Three', the highly anticipated conclusion to Villeneuve’s blockbuster franchise, set to release in December 2026.
