Family, friends remember Lauren Bacall at private funeral

Close friends and family attended an intimate funeral of Hollywood beauty Lauren Bacall. The actress, known for her distinctive husky voice and sultry looks, died last week from a massive stroke. She was 89.

She was remembered at a small funeral on August 19 in Manhattan, reported the New York Post. Only 50 people, including Bacall's close friends Anjelica Huston and Michael Douglas, apparently attended the closed-casket event which took place at the Frank E Campbell Funeral Home. The mourners spent time looking at Bacall's hundreds of old photos, including many glamorous ones of herself, and posters from her movie career around her magnificent apartment.
