The 54-year-old actress' daughter Gaia may have been left a little embarrassed however, as her famous mother pretended to be drunk while on stage to present the best screenplay gong to Spike Jonze for 'Her'.

The actress looked amazing for the occasion, wearing a long-sleeved gold bodice top attached to a black Lanvin skirt.
Thompson was nominated for best actress in a drama for 'Saving Mr Banks', but lost out to Cate Blanchett who won for Blue Jasmine.

Meanwhile Gaia looked beautiful in a black gown by Laura Ashley, but said she is not used to this kind of glamorous.
