D4vd Case: LAPD searches Hollywood Hills home where car with teen's body was abandoned

Los Angeles police swooped in on a property in Hollywood Hills, while investigating the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose decomposed and dismembered body was discovered earlier this month in the trunk of a car registered to singer D4vd.

According to ABC7, homicide detectives were seen conducting a sweep of a home believed to be connected to the case. The residence is reportedly being rented by D4vd’s manager - Josh Marshall. In fact, videos doing the rounds online, even see the singer at the house, along with Benny Blanco.


Officers reportedly seized a computer and other items during the operation, though it remains unclear whether the evidence is directly tied to the case.

TMZ reported that the police activity began their search at around 3 p.m. Roughly a dozen plainclothes officers remained at the property until midnight. Locals also said a black car with Texas plates had been frequently seen parked in front of the home.

The rapper's Tesla car is at the centre of the case after a body was found inside the trunk, days after the car was impounded after being found abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. On September 8, staff at the yard called the police after detecting a strong odour from the vehicle.

While at first the decomposing remains of the person was unidentified, the police were able to identify her with her mom confirming that her daughter had a “Shhh…” tattoo on her right finger.

News reports later stated that D4vd has a similar tattoo on his own finger, further fuelling speculation about his connection to the teen victim.


Following Wednesday’s developments, D4vd abruptly canceled a scheduled performance in Seattle.
