Critics Choice Award: Timothee Chalamet thanks 'partner' Kylie Jenner in Best Actor speech; says 'I couldn't do this without you'

Timothee Chalamet sure knows how to make a statement. The hunk, who win the Best Actor at the Critics Choice Award, sent the internet into a meltdown, after he introduced his long-time lady love, Kylie Jenner as his 'partner'.


The couple, who has been fiercely private about their love life, made a joint appearance at the award show. The two sat by each other's side throughout the ceremony, and were seen being affectionate towards each other. However, it was Timothee's speech that took everyone by surprise.

In his winning speech for his role in Marty Supreme', Chalamet honoured his girlfriend, Kylie and professed his love for her. He said, "Thank you to my partner for three years. I love you. I couldn't do this without you."

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart," he added.

Jenner, who was also captured on camera, mouthed the words, "I love you" in response to the hunk's speech.

This special tribute comes amid buzz that the two stars have parted ways. Amid the actor's hectic promotional schedule, rumours doing the rounds claimed that he and Kylie had ended their low-key romance after he was visibly absent during Kylie's birthday celebrations. However, fans noticed that Timothee's name featured on the Kardashian family gingerbread house, hinting that all was well between the two.

Chalamet, who has been among the hot favourites of the awards season, also gave a shout-out to his fellow nominees like Leonardo DiCaprio for 'One Battle After Another', Joel Edgerton for 'Train Dreams', Ethan Hawke for 'Blue Moon', Michael B. Jordan for 'Sinners' and Wagner Moura for 'The Secret Agent'.

Chalamet has been a regular at awards shows, nominated for his critically acclaimed performances over the years.
