Bad 3D conversions are stupid: Cameron
The 'Avatar' director always wants to be ahead!
He tells ShortList magazine: “Youdefinitely want to see them not do as well.“With Terminator 3and 4, because Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and Sam [Worthington] were in them, Iwanted them to do well, but just not that well!”And he also has a few choice words for Aliens 3 director David Fincher.“With Alien 3, I love David Fincher, but I thoughtkilling off the characters that people had rooted for in the second wasn’ta wise decision.”The 54-year-old also admits that he isworried that imitators are threatening his work.“People at thestudios have to stop doing stupid stuff like making those bad 3D conversions tojust capitalise on the craze,” he says.“There is alegitimate danger of p*ssing in the soup and souring themarket.“I’m not against the conversion of classics, infact we’re doing Titanic ourselves, but you’ve got to take the time,spend the money and assure the quality.”Follow us on Twitter for more stories
