Ami: India's hope at Miss World

Now, she has set her sights on December 6 and the grand finale of the Miss World contest at Sanya in China.<br /><br />‘‘The contest is just a few days away and I hardly have butterflies in the stomach,’’ says Ami, who left for China recently. But then, when one has gone through the rigorous training that Ami has, an upbeat mood is but a natural accompaniment. <br /><br />‘‘I have been working really hard on my body, speech and diction, make-up, GK... I am confident of facing the other contestants at the pageant, apart from the battery of judges.’’ If all this doesn’t sound like a winning formula, there’s food for thought too. ‘‘I freak out on the Gujarati dish undhyon, besides chocolates.
