Awards season is in full swing, and one beloved ceremony has undergone a major rebrand. The event long known as the SAG Awards now returns as the 32nd Annual Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA. Despite the new title, the heart of the show remains the same: actors honoring fellow actors for outstanding performances across film and television.
A new name with the same legacy
The updated title reflects the scale of the organization behind the awards. SAG-AFTRA represents one of the largest groups of performers in the industry, with more than 160,000 members casting votes. Each year, they spotlight performances that moved audiences, from unforgettable film scenes to television moments that dominated conversations.
Star-studded guest list and vintage glam theme
This year’s red carpet is expected to sparkle with major names. Celebrities including Ariana Grande, Emma Stone,
Jacob Elordi,
Jenna Ortega, Teyana Taylor, and Timothée Chalamet are likely to attend. The event will also feature a themed red carpet inspired by classic Hollywood style.
Organizers have chosen a concept that revisits the elegance of early cinema. The theme, "Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ‘20s and ‘30s," promises dramatic gowns, sharp tailoring, and timeless fashion moments.
How and when to watch the ceremony
The 2026 Actor Awards will stream live on Netflix on Sunday, March 1, from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Viewers can tune in at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Unlike traditional broadcasts, the show will be available across all Netflix subscription tiers.
However, there is no free viewing option. Subscribers must have an active plan, whether ad-supported or premium, to watch live.
The excitement begins even earlier with the official pre-show at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT. Hosts Paige DeSorbo and
Scott Evans will guide audiences through red carpet arrivals, interviews, and fashion highlights.
