Famous music composer S. R. Dehariya recently shared his heartfelt views on regional music, especially Bhojpuri music, praising its deep folk roots and rich cultural value. Known for his versatility across multiple musical genres, Dehariya believes that Bhojpuri music holds a unique emotional and spiritual connect with listeners that goes beyond language and region.
Praising Bhojpuri's cultural depth
At an event, Dehariya spoke about his musical journey and revealed how Bhojpuri folk and devotional music have always inspired him. According to him, this music beautifully reflects the soul of the land and its people. He shared that he has already composed a Bhojpuri devotional song for
Chhath Puja, created especially for the late Chhath festival, which received immense appreciation from audiences.
Inspiration from folk roots
The devotional song “Kaanch Hi Baans Ke Bahangiya” was composed by S. R. Dehariya and sung by legendary playback singer Anuradha Paudwal. The lyrics were penned by Nitesh Tiwari, adding poetic depth and a strong traditional essence to the song. Apart from his work in devotional and regional music, S. R. Dehariya has made a mark in Hindi music as well. He composed the romantic song “Tumse Mohabbat”, sung by Aakritti Mehra and Altamash Faridi.
Thoughts about Bhojpuri music
Sharing his future plans, Dehariya said, “I like Bhojpuri music and folk music. I have already worked on a Bhojpuri devotional song for Chhath Puja, and I am very interested in doing more work in the Bhojpuri music space. Very soon, something very special is coming for the Bhojpuri industry.” Bhojpuri music fans and industry experts are excited by this statement and are eagerly waiting for his next announcement.
