Satrajit Sen shares how his collaboration with Salim Merchant came to happen

Filmmaker Satrajit Sen’s recent collaboration with Salim Merchant has him on cloud nine. “What originated from a simple DM sent to Salim Merchant about a possible collaboration culminated into a musical project being picked up by their music label and a long-term partnership,” he shared.
The musical project comprises four tracks featuring Anubrata Chatterjee, Indrajit Dey, Indro and Pratik Srivastava.The title video has been directed by Satrajit and features Richa Sharma, alongside the other musicians.
Satrajit shared the album with Salim after they DM-ed. Shortly after one night at 12 am, Salim sent a text to Satrajit sharing that the whole team was listening to the album and watching the video. At 4 am he sent another text stating that the album was a piece of art and he wanted to be a part of it. “In 10 days we were in Mumbai at their studio for the launch. Salim came in for the event 7 minutes late and he was profusely apologetic. That is the level of professionalism I have always experienced whenever working with studios, actors and artists from Mumbai. He happily gave as many bytes as was demanded by the team, posed for pictures and unveiled the album. It was that smooth,” Satrajit shared.
