Anupam to travel to Canada soon
Even though Bengal was spared from the wrath of tropical cyclone Fani, the city was undoubtedly in the grips of fear. Not only were shoots, events and rallies called off for the day, the regular schedules were thrown out of gear. Singer-songwriter Anupam Roy, who had a rehearsal on May 3, finished work early and reached home by 6 pm. “There was fear all around.

So many of my friends expressed concerns. I had to cut the rehearsal short and head home early,” he said. Anupam, who spent the rest of the day working on a song for a film, said he spent the day in a relaxed mood. “Even though I was thinking that Fani would come any time, I continued work on the song that I need to complete soon. I also listened to songs. There was nothing out of the ordinary,” he said. The Tollywood composer, who recently had a show in Dhaka, will soon be travelling to Canada for a show. “I will sing everything from Alote Alote Dhaka, Kolkata, Tumi Jake Bhalobasho and Boba Tunnel, among others. The usual lineup of songs is ready and I am adding the new songs to it. The trip will be for four to five days and it starts next weekend,” he said. Anupam, who has a couple of releases this year and has been caught up majorly with work, said he is also looking for a break. “I will like to take a break at the end of the month,” he said.
