The pandemic left such a deep impact on Sudiptaa Chakraborty that she decided to ring in the New Year quietly without much fanfare. The actress recently recovered from COVID-19.
“Though I have tested negative some time back, the weakness still persists. Besides, the year has taken such a toll and had helped surfaced such deep realizations that I thought of spending it with only family.

We arranged a small get-together on the terrace at my mother’s place for the kids to enjoy. We cooked at home and are enjoyed catching up,” Sudiptaa shared with ETimes.
The popular actress is also uncertain about how 2021 will shape up for everyone. “By the look of it, we may have to spend another year adjusting to the new normal. But my ardent wish is to see human bonds grow and people turn more caring towards each other. Also, if politicians are honest that would help. Communalism is the least important thing and it should go away,” she explained.
But how the year 2020 treated her, considering the fact that it was more or less tough on everyone? Sudiptaa thinks there are hardly any highs she can talk about. “It was a year of lows for me. But what I rediscovered was the importance of family. I made sure I spend more time at home and thinking of issues to do with my home and surroundings. I would call up distant relatives to know about them and they would be surprised. Getting time off the busy schedule made me realize that what matters most are human ties,” she signed off.
