5 Tolly hotties who debuted on stage

She's been the flavour of Bengali cinema for quite a while now and the actress has some of Tollywood's biggest films in her kitty (Rajkahini, Aranyadeb and Open Tee Bioscope to name a few). But the actress recently made her presence felt on stage as a part of Kamaleswar Mukherjee's Abayab. It's indeed a big step for Sohini who began her career on the small screen as a part of the hit show Ogo Bodhu Shundori. But having said that, we certainly wouldn't mind seeing her more often in stage in times to come.

Shaheb Bhattacherjee
Be it the small or big screen, Shaheb Bhattacherjee has impressed in almost all his roles as an actor. The talented young actor recently made a rather starry debut on stage recently. He is a part of Kamaleswar Mukherjee's latest production Abayab. Interestingly, although it's his first venture on stage, he didn't disappoint. Shaheb pranced about the stage confidently as though he has been a part of theatre since ages. Well, we love him anyway!

Ritwick Chakraborty
He's one of the biggest names in Tollywood right now, but Ritwick has also been an integral part of television in the past (he starred in shows like Bandhan, Josh and Kanakanjali). The actor reinvented himself on the stage recently in Bratya Basu's Ke? where he plays the protagonist. The play is a thriller that focuses on the ups and down in a married life. And not surprisingly, Ritwick delivers a stellar performance. By far, he's one of theatre's biggest imports, especially in terms of talent, in recent times.

Gaurav Chakrabarty
Veteran actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty's younger son started his stint in theatre as a child. But as part of the theatre group Charbak, Gaurav assisted only in backstage operations. He debuted on stage as an actor in Arindam Ganguly's Ekhon Tokhon. A period drama, the play has Gaurav essay the role of an actor. Incidently, the Apur Panchali and Gaaner Oparey star also shares the stage with his father in this production. Well, all we can say is we totally love seeing this small screen Byomkesh on stage.

Arjun Chakrabarty
Actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty's elder son, Arjun has an enviable fan following all thanks to his portrayal of Gora in the TV show Gaaner Oparey. But the youngster followed it up with some impressive performances in films like Janla Diye Bou Palalo and Chirodini Tumi Je Amar 2. Arjun landed on the stage on the same vehicle which put brother Gaurav Chakrabarty on it. He was the narrator in Charbak's Ekhon Tokhon. While he hasn't been a part of any theatre production since, his fans are very eager to see him on stage again.
