Only a few months back, a new film unit learnt it the hard way when their shoot was halted without any reason. Mumbai-returned Arindam Banerjee was shooting his debut Bengali film, Ek Mutho Roddur, in New Alipore when the Federation sent in its workers.

The men, who behaved like the gangs that banks send to the homes of loan defaulters, refused to budge even after Arindam showed them all the valid documents. Despite the presence of a constable, the Federation workers sent the unit packing. Apparently, they went there at the behest of the formidable Federation president.
