Vikram Chatterjee just completed shooting for
Sudip Das’s debut film Kuler Achaar where he is paired opposite Madhumita Sarcar. “It was fun shooting for the film with such a young and vibrant team. Madhumita is extremely energetic on the sets while I am lazy — so it was quite balanced. Mainak Bhaumik is the creative head of the film. With him around on the sets, it was so much fun.
I loved playing Pritam’s character. He is a simple, sensitive and emotionally driven guy,” said the actor.
Kuler Achaar is a story of a middle-class family, where the daughter-in-law is determined to not change her surname after marriage and the difficulties she has to face owing to her decision. “Mithi (Madhumita) is a happy-go-lucky girl who remains adamant about her decision to not change her surname after marriage and eventually has to face all the hurdles that come in her way. The film chronicles how Mithi’s husband Pritam supports Mithi’s decision and stands by her side,” informed Vikram.
Vikram will start shooting for
Aditya Sengupta’s yet-untitled film from March 18. He is paired opposite
Ditipriya Roy in the project. “We will be leaving for North Bengal on March 18 for the film’s shoot. We shot for this film in December but after that, the shoot got stalled because of the pandemic. With the situation slowly getting back to normal, we will be heading outdoors for the second schedule soon,” said Vikram.
