The memorable hits of Uttam and Suchitra such as 'Priyo Bandhabi', 'Har Mana Har', 'Nabarag', 'Kamallata', 'Grihadaha', ‘Uttar Phalguni’, ‘Sare Chuattor’ launched a new era in Bengali cinema.

A whole lot of Bengali cinema’s golden era was ruled by this pair. Be it ‘Apur Sansar’, ‘Aranyer Din Ratri’ or ‘Barnali’, the handsome Soumitra Chatterjee gave a tough fight to legendary actor Uttam Kumar as he dazzled his best with a charming Sharmila.
