Tota all set to play the antagonist in Jeet’s next
Tota Roy Choudhury has joined Pathikrrit Basu’s Keu Bole Biplobi, Keu Bole Dakat, starring Jeet in the lead. The Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale actor is playing an antagonist in a Bengali film after a considerable gap. Set in 1960s’ Kolkata, the film follows freedom fighter-turned-outlaw Ananta, whose daring heists divide the city between fear and admiration. As Inspector Durga Roy hunts him down, Ananta’s past and present collide in a gripping tale of justice and rebellion. Speaking about the collaboration, Tota said, “Jeet and I have been friends for a long time, but the perfect oppotunity to work together never presented itself until now. I am delighted that this movie is finally bringing us together on screen for the very first time.”Director Pathikrrit Basu added, “Durga Roy is the arch nemesis of Ananta Singh – not in a negative way, but as a powerful force of law standing against rebellion. That’s why the face-off between Jeet da and Tota da will be such a cinematic treat. Tota da is the perfect actor to bring intensity, balance, and authority to match Jeet da’s aura on screen.”I prioritise screenplay, and Durga Roy’s character is layered, which instantly drew me in with its depth and challenges – Tota Roy Choudhury
