The Academy of Fine Arts released in a six-episode series format. The series adaptation will present the film’s raw and uncensored version, bringing its dark comedy thriller narrative to audiences in an episodic format.
The story follows Porichoy Gupto, a mysterious mastermind who assembles five criminals—Dinabandhu, Rakhal, Bireshwar, Sachin and Jibonto—for a high-stakes mission to steal a valuable antique wine bottle from gang leader Kim Ling. However, what begins as a carefully planned heist soon turns into a complex web of betrayal, violence and personal conflicts.
The cast includes Rudranil Ghosh, Payel Sarkar, the late Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, Sourav Das, Rishav Basu, Anuradha Mukherjee, Rishika Nag, Sudip Mukherjee and Rahul Saha in key roles. The six-part series aims to expand the film’s narrative through an episodic storytelling format while retaining its original tone and characters.
