Parambrata replaces Rahul in 'Abhiman'

Parambrata has replaced Rahul in Debanik Kundu���������s ���������Abhiman ��������� Ekti Osthityer Lorai���������, starring Arpita.
The shooting of Sujan Mukhopadhyay���������s ���������Ektu Onnyorokom��������� is almost over and Arpita is already busy with the shooting of Debanik Kundu���������s ���������Abhiman ��������� Ekti Osthityer Lorai���������.This is the first time that Arpita has been paired opposite Parambrata Chattopadhyay in a role that was earlier supposed to be essayed by Rahul.
Speaking about the film, Arpita says, ���������I play a news anchor of a popular channel who is unable to return home on the day of a riot. But I am not modelling myself on anyone. Though she belongs to a so-called progressive family, this incident changes her life forever. Her family members start doubting her when she brings home a Muslim boy (Parambrata) who rescues her life. This behaviour of her family changes the life of the girl forever. While doing my research for this film, I found that there are many girls who have faced such situations on the night when a riot broke out on Ripon Street after the controversy regarding Taslima Nasreen in 2007. Today, people are okay if girls return home as late as 3 am in the morning, but if they spend the whole night outside, it becomes a different story altogether.���������
Though the film is about the hypocrisy of the society, the treatment has steered clear of making it an arthouse movie. Debjit has composed the songs that have been sung by the likes of Subhomita and Anwesha. Plans are afoot of dubbing this film in Oriya. That���������s also one reason why the director has cast Aakash Dasnayak, an actor from Orissa, to make his Tollywood debut with this film. Snigdha Mohanty is playing the role of Arpita���������s mother-in-law.
Says Debanik, ���������Param suits the role more than Rahul in terms of looks. Hence, I decided to shoot with Param. He plays an orphan who was wrongly accused of murder. He goes to jail repeatedly but on the night of the crisis, he saves Arpita. I will be using footage of the riots and recreating parts of it for the film.���������
Arpita has shot for a day with Param already and is looking forward to shooting extensively with him. ���������The film is about what happens one night. Parambrata is making his directorial debut with ���������Jiyo Kaka!!���������. Even as an actor, he is technically very sound,��������� Arpita says.
Aakash, on his part, says, ���������I have always loved Bengali literature and my favourite writer is Sarat Chandra Chatterji. It feels great to make my Tollywood debut plus it���������s a bonus that my debut is opposite Arpita. I���������ll give it my best so that I can live up to everyone���������s expectations.���������
