Kaushik Ganguly has already wrapped up his ‘Jyeshthoputro’ shoot which is inspired by ‘Anya Nayak’, a script written by late Rituporno Ghosh. As per industry sources, it was the late filmmaker's brother Indranil Ghosh who handed over the copyright of the script to Kaushik Ganguly and he worked on the story with his own inputs.
If all goes according to plan, ‘Jyeshthoputro’ will see its theatrical release during Poila Baishak.
While
Prosenjit Chatterjee and
Ritwick Chakraborty play the male lead, three extremely talented actors
Sudiptaa Chakraborty,
Gargee Roychowdhury and Daminee Basu will be seen as the female leads.
Jointly produced by Surinder Films and Nideas Creations, ‘Jyesthoputra’ is a story of two brothers where the elder brother is a celebrity while the younger brother is a common man. Prosenjit Chatterjee plays the titular role of the elder brother and Ritwick will be seen as the younger brother.
Meanwhile, kaushik Ganguly’s national award winning film ‘Nagarkirtan’s release has been pushed back due to some legal issues. It was scheduled to release on February 15.
