Jaya Ahsan unveils poster of OCD

The poster of OCD, the upcoming film directed by Soukarya Ghosal and starring Jaya Ahsan, was unveiled on January 1, 2026, with the actor releasing the first look through her social media handles. The film explores the disturbing and rarely confronted subject of child molestation, presenting it through an intense and emotionally charged narrative.
Speaking about the project, Ghosal described OCD as a deeply personal protest against a society that often fails to recognize or acknowledge the trauma endured by child abuse survivors. He noted that many abusers go unpunished because victims are discouraged from speaking out, fearing disbelief, stigma, and social backlash. Despite claims of modernity, he said, families frequently silence such incidents to avoid scrutiny, while survivors continue to carry lifelong psychological scars.
Ghosal added that while conversations around gender equality have progressed, similar awareness and sensitivity toward child rights — especially in cases of sexual abuse — remain insufficient. Through OCD, he attempts to tell the story from the perspective of a molested child who refuses to conform to societal expectations, placing the survivor’s voice and truth at the heart of the narrative.
