Life is beautiful

Self-love is the starting point for being able to truly and selflessly love and show love to others. Without loving yourself, it is hard to be completely selfless in a relationship with anyone. It’s important because it is the foundation for all good relationships with others. That’s what many of the Tolly celebs believe to the core and Madhumita Sarcar’s secret of staying happy despite being single is quite simple.

Self love

Actress Madhumita Sarcar feels once you are full of self-love, it is much easier to pour your love into other people, since you are not trying to give from something that is empty. “Self-love is the most important thing in life. If you don’t love yourself, you cannot love others. At times, unknowingly, in the midst of many things, self-love takes a backseat. But ultimately, it leads to frustration and low self-esteem. So, love yourself first to be happy from within,” explains Madhumita.

Singlehood rocks

She’s also enjoying her singlehood to the fullest. “I am very happy at this point in my life as there’s no additional stress or burden. Being single allows me to keep all my focus on work and do whatever I want. I can lead my life on my own terms now, which is very important. All I can say is singlehood is bliss,” adds the talented actress.

No obsession with perfection

The popular actress defines self-love as being kind, compassionate and forgiving toward ourselves: “I don’t believe that we can reach our potential if we give to others but do not take care of ourselves. I also don’t believe we can be genuinely compassionate if we are beating ourselves up because we’re not perfect.”

No time for rumours

Do regular link-up reports affect the actress or does she simply ignore them? Well, Madhumita says it used to bother her before, “Now I just laugh it off. If people keen on my love life followed me everywhere, they would get to know about my really sad story ( laughs). Did anyone hear anything about me when I was with Sourav Chakraborty? No. I am a one-man woman contrary to what people like to believe.”
