Five memorable moments in Jeet’s 50-film-old career

Think of Salman Khan’s style and charisma and add a Bengali attitude to it, you will find only one person, Jeet. The dashing actor tasted his first success way back in 2002, opposite ‘Priyanka Tridevi’ in ‘Sathi’. This commercial hit earned Jeet several awards and honours. Then came a joyful period of his commercially successful movie streak with ‘Nater Guru’, ‘Jor’, ‘Wanted’, ‘Dui Prithibi’ and ‘Boss: Born To Rule’. With his 50th film running at theatres Jeet has now set his sight on 100 films. Here we take a look at five high points in Jeet’s career.

The never back down mentality

“People learn so much from failures. My film ‘Chandu’ bombed at the box office and media just wrote me off completely. I had so many sleepless nights that time. I even had doubts in my mind whether I have the talent to fit into the film industry. Then I took a break for two weeks. I was at home immersed in all the logical thinking. And finally, I restored my confidence and started motivating myself. After that went I went for my first audition I got a job. That’s life,” revealed Jeet while speaking about his career.

The huge success of ‘Sathi’

“Sathi turned out to be a huge hit and I enjoyed watching the dynamics changing. Suddenly you discover people speaking to you with high regards, treating you with more respect. The thing is that if your heart is at the right place you don’t have to change much. People around you will change automatically,” an elated Jeet said.

4/6

‘100% Love’ memories

Jeet still cherishes the success of ‘100% Love’ directed by Rabi Kinagi and why not? He officially turned a producer with the film. The 2012 romantic drama is a remake of the 2007 Telugu hit ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule starring Jeet and Koel Mallick in the lead roles. Made with a budget of ₹2.88 Crore, it raked ₹5.61 Crore from the box office.

‘Boss’ introduced a new director

‘Boss’ will always hold a special place in Jeet’s heart. Many people didn’t actually believe the subject. There were many who didn’t like the idea that Jeet was taking a new guy Baba Yadav as a director who at that time was a choreographer. But Jeet has told many a time he knew what he was doing, he knew his responsibilities and it worked.

‘Shesh Theke Shuru’ marks his 50th film

Raj Chakraborty directed ‘Shesh Theke Shuru’ seems to have gained everyone’s faith. It’s Jeet’s 50th film and even Amitabh Bachchan has congratulated and wished him before the film hit the theatres. The Tollywood hunk is so confident that he has now set his sight on completing 100 films.
