Ditipriya Roy and
Vikram Chatterjee will star opposite each other in the first time on the big screen for
Aditya Sengupta’s debut directorial feature film. The project, which will be a road film, will go on the floors in December. Ranajoy Bhattacharya will score the music for the film.
Talking about the film, Ditipriya said, “I played Adityada’s sister-in-law in Projapoti Biskut, and we have shared a cool relationship since then.
Now, I will work for his vision. Meanwhile, I worked with Vikramda on an OTT project but there we were not cast opposite each other. Here, we are. I loved the idea that it revolves around a road trip. I am a fan of road trips and hence, I think I would be able to totally relate to it.”
Vikram too seemed pretty excited. “A simple depiction and a fresh approach are important aspects of the film. We are a new pair for the audience and will be a part of a good story and presentation. This is what attracted me the most,” he said.
Although
Aditya entered showbiz as an actor, he has been writing scripts for popular directors for a long time now. “I penned scripts for Rajda (Chakrabarty), Raja Chanda and others. I directed ad films, shorts and television films. But this is big for me. I will be directing a full-blown feature film for the big screen. This in itself is super exciting for me,” he said.
