Dev’s post on politicians is winning hearts. Here’s why...

Dev’s recent posts on social media is being liked by many. The actor’s fans and colleagues are admiring the way he is trying to spread awareness about the ongoing pandemic.
On April 16, Dev tweeted: Thanku for all the lovely feedback for #Golondaaj teaser. We are really touched. For time being Do share the Teaser Wear ur Mask if u r stepping out Don’t step out unnecessary unless u r a Politician (In our Country Only they can Make or Break the Rules) Stay safe pls (sic).
The actor also pinned an old post, an animation video that sees two characters — Habuchandra Raja and Gabuchandra Montri — talking about how to curb the spread of COVID-19. The actor posted the video with a poem:
Biswajure notun sonkot, corona bhedheche basa
Eer theke bachar upai tai apnader kache niea asha
Bhir sthane darano sobar jonne mana
Hath dhute hobey baar baar se kotha ache ki jana?
Ar baire beronor somoy mukhe porun mask

Through this video, Dev tried to convey a strong message that to remain safe one should always wear a mask, maintain social distancing, avoid going to crowded places and wash hands at regular intervals.
Incidentally, Aniket Chattopadhyay, director of the film Habuchandra Raja Gabuchandra Montri, tested COVID positive on Saturday. The director, who is in home isolation, said, “We started this campaign a year back when the pandemic hit us. Both Habuchandra Raja and Gobuchandra Montri are popular characters and when you deliver a strong message through such strong characters, it easily gets registered in the audience’s mind. Wearing a mask is mandatory and so is social distancing. The animation video conveys this message and I am glad it is being liked by all.”
