Agnidev Chatterjee hospitalised

It���s almost been a week since Agnidev Chatterjee was taken to an Alipore nursing home. And there has been little improvement in his condition ever since. The director, who was running a high temperature (105 degrees Fahrenheit) at the time of admission, left the doctors confused as there was no sign of viral infection. In fact, medical tests negated quite a few conditions like flu, jaundice, viral fever, among others.

Since Agnidev showed little signs of improvement as his fever subsided but couldn���t be cured, a team of doctors have now started looking into his condition. Sources say, he still has fever and that has made him considerably weak. That apart, there has been a sodium-potassium imbalance. Friends from the film industry who visited the ailing director said he has lost some weight too. Agnidev is diabetic and that has added to his woes. Said a source, ���The infection is likely to be bacterial in nature. Several doctors are looking into his case and though Agnidev is stable, it will take time for him to bounce back.��� CT wishes Agnidev a speedy recovery.
