The Tirupattur (Vellore) constituency witnessed a strategic and high-stakes battle in the 2026 Assembly elections, with the DMK re-nominating the incumbent A. Nallathambi, who sought his third consecutive victory. He faced A Gnanasekar AMMK (AIADMK-led alliance, while the entry of Dr N Thirupathi representing the TVK added significant pressure.
The 2021 election saw A. Nallathambi (DMK) secured a commanding win with 96,522 votes (52.4% vote share), defeating T. K. Raja (PMK), who polled 68,282 votes.
