Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar election results 2026: TVK’s Pallavi wins by 22,333 votes

Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar has delivered a clear result, with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s M R Pallavi winning the seat by a comfortable margin. With counting complete (17/17 rounds), Pallavi secured 69,125 votes, defeating DMK’s K S Ravichandran, who polled 46,792 votes. AIADMK’s Porkodi Armstrong finished third with 23,304 votes.

In the 2021 Assembly elections, P Sivakumar alias Thayagamkavi (DMK) won with 81,727 votes, defeating AIADMK’s P L Kalyani, who secured 26,714 votes, by a margin of 55,013 votes. In 2016, Sivakumar (DMK) had won with 61,744 votes, defeating AIADMK’s V Neelakandan, who secured 58,422 votes, by a margin of 3,322 votes.

Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar recorded steady voter participation, reflecting continued electoral engagement in this urban constituency.

Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar (Assembly Constituency No. 15), is a tightly packed inner-city seat in central-north Chennai that is deeply influenced by labour movements, Dalit politics and working-class mobilisation. Named after noted social reformer Thiru V Kalyanasundaram Mudaliar (Thiru.Vi.Ka), the constituency reflects the city’s older industrial-residential fabric, characterised by compact housing layouts, small-scale workshops and a strong reliance on public services.
