HYDERABAD: TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday spoke about the possibility of TRS Karimnagar candidate B Vinod Kumar becoming a Union minister after the Lok Sabha elections. Vinod Kumar is seeking re-election from the constituency.
Addressing a public meeting at Sircilla , KTR said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has neglected Telangana. “Modi removed Bandaru Dattatreya as the Union minister and chose not to have any representation from Telangana,” he said, adding that Modi hardly visited
Telangana in the last five years and this showed how indifferent he is towards the state.
KTR recalled that CM K Chandrasekhar Rao had said at a public meeting in Karimnagar that Vinod Kumar stands a chance of being inducted in the Union cabinet. “What the nation needs today is not a ‘Chowkidar’ or a ‘Thekedar’ but a ‘Zimmedar’. If 16 TRS MPs are elected, we will also have a say in who will become the Prime Minister,” he said.
