Will win Chevella by 2 lakh votes: Konda Vishweshwar Reddy
HYDERABAD: Congress candidate from Chevella Lok Sabha constituency Konda Vishweshwar Reddy on Tuesday expressed concern over TRS indulging in unethical practices to win the elections but claimed he would retain the seat and win with a majority of two lakh votes.
“My family members and I have visited 434 villages in the last four weeks, reached almost every house in the constituency and met six lakh people. The response has been positive and heartening,” he said at a press conference.
He said people want leaders who could question the government on their behalf. “I have it in me and my quitting the ruling TRS is a testimony to it. I had questioned TRS and then quit it,” he said.
Vishweshwar said he questioned the TRS leadership if Chevella constituency people got two bedroom houses and was TRS in a helpless position to not clear GO 111 for Chevella, but felt the need to shift Chevella from Charminar zone to Jogulamba zone.
The sitting MP said the Lok Sabha battle is between two ideologies — tolerance and intolerance, credibility and lack of credibility and added only Congress would take all people together.
