BHOPAL: Congress on Thursday lodged a complaint against former chief minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan to the Election Commission for making objectionable remarks against its Bhopal candidate
Digvijaya Singh. Congress stated that it is the seventh complaint made by the party against Chouhan.
Congress demanded a ban on Chouhan’s campaign. In an election rally for BJP Bhopal candidate Pragya Thakur, Chouhan had said that after taking the name of Digvijaya Singh, he has to take a bath.
He said Digvijaya conspired and was responsible for the torture meted out to Pragya.
Congress said it is a baseless allegation and if Chouhan has any proof of it, he should present it. “He is making false, personal, indecent and outrageous remarks, which are a violation of the model code of conduct”, Congress stated.
