MP: Computer Baba to campaign for Congress in all the Hindi speaking states
BHOPAL:
During the assembly polls, Baba’s campaign was confined to Madhya Pradesh. Baba is the president of a trust for conservation of three rivers — Maa Mandakini, Maa Kshipra and Maa Narmada nadi nyas.

He said that during the assembly polls, the sant samaj took out a large number of rallies and campaigned for the Congress across the state, exposing the BJP. “This time, our campaign will start after the Navratra beginning April 6. After performing Durga Puja, the saints would start their campaign, hold meetings and take out rallies in the Hindi-speaking states”, he said.
The Baba first came into limelight when he announced a pol-khol yatra against the former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for his alleged failure to protect river Narmada. “The BJP government in MP was interested more in exploiting the river and illegal sand mining and not its conservation”, he said. Shivraj took no time and announced to accord baba a status of minister of state, but soon he separated from the BJP.
Baba, who was ousted from Akhara Parishad- an organisation of saints comprising 14 organisations, and then re-inducted last year, has been consistently campaigning for the Congress ever since he left the BJP.
Answering a query, Baba said, “We would campaign for Digvijaya Singh, a politician, who has performed the gruelling Narmada yatra, walking around the river for more than 3000 kms.” He said that he has never sought a ticket from Congress, but can win from any place.
