Rahul Gandhi targeting Anil Ambani because he is Gujarati: Parshottam Rupala
Union minister of state for agriculture, Parshottam Rupala, lashed out at the Congress for questioning the Rafale deal and said that the Opposition is targeting Anil Ambani since he was a Gujarati. Addressing BJP workers in Vijay Sankalp Sammelan in the city on Tuesday, Rupala hit out at Congress president Rahul Gandhi without naming him.
"There were total 200 industrialists who were assigned the contracts, but only Ambani is being targeted because he is Gujarati. Ambani’s empire was not created during Modi government’s rule, but long before Narendra Modi even came into politics. Congress should also make public the list of the contracts they have given to the Ambanis in the past."
The minister also asked the Opposition to declare the name of its PM candidate. "Opposition doesn’t have any face to declare as PM," he said.
In the sammelan, Congress members of Rajkot district panchayat, workers and members Wankaner and Tankara panchayat joined the BJP. All the Congress workers who joined BJP are supporters of Kunvarji Bavalia.
Rupala even advised workers not to give the statements without proper knowledge of the subject. "My first advise to the workers who will be meeting people is that don’t give replies to questions if the subject is beyond your knowledge.
Suresh Prabhu meets RCCI members
Union civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday addressed the members of Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) who asked him to convince more airlines to start operations from Rajkot before April 1 when Jet Airways suspends it’s operation. RCCI president V P Vaishnav said. "The airline fare from Ahmedabad to Mumbai is Rs 3,000 while that of Rajkot to Mumbai is Rs 23,000. This is not acceptable.
