Congress, allies speaking language of Pakistan: Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted the Congress saying that the opposition party and its allies are speaking the language of Pakistan by resorting to a malicious and divisive propaganda after the Pulwama terror attack.

Modi addressed election rallies in Surendrangar, Sabarkantha and Anand where the BJP is looking at a tough electoral fight.

Modi alleged that the Congress was about to begin a campaign to defame him after the Pulwama terror attack, but the aerial strike by the armed forces put the party on the backfoot. "The utterances of opposition and ‘Maha milawat (grand alliance) are making headlines in Pakistani media. Their names are being quoted in Pakistan parliament. Is it proper to speak the language of Pakistan while staying in this country? Even an illiterate person of our villages will not speak such language," said Modi.

Addressing a rally in Anand, Modi said, "Congress operates through an eco-system by spreading lies. They get a wrong story published in some paper and the next day, they hold a press conference," he said.

"Congress people will spread the wrong news against the government in the entire country through those who work in their eco-system," he said.

"They will then get someone to file a PIL in the court on such "fake issue" and top advocate-leaders of Congress will argue in this case. This is happening very often now," Modi said.

Taking a swipe at the grand alliance, Modi said these parties are ganging up against him because they have reached up to the gates of Tihar jail. "They fear that once Modi comes back to power, they will be pushed inside," he said.

The PM said this election will decide if people who defend tukde-tukde gang (divisive forces) will rule the country or those who are working for the unity and development of India.
