Gujarat: Two Congress candidates under EC scanner
Congress candidates for
Panchmahal Congress candidate Khant has come under scanner after his photo surfaced where he is seen holding a wad of cash during campaigning in Shehra. When the district election officer learnt about the photo, nodal officer of Shehra was ordered to enquire about it.

Another notice was served to Katara by the district election officer for not publishing details of his pending criminal cases in newspapers. According to a Supreme Court’s order, candidates facing criminal cases have to publish details of their cases in three newspapers at least three times during election campaign.

and Panchmahal seats, Babu Katara and V K Khant, have come under come under election commission’s scanner over different issues. seat. Besides Katara, a candidate of Bhartiya National Janata Dal, Jagdish Meda, was also served notice for not furnishing details of his election expenses. All contesting candidates were to furnish their election expenses on Saturday.Another notice was served to Katara by the district election officer for not publishing details of his pending criminal cases in newspapers.
