AAP releases report card of west Delhi MP, says he failed
NEW DELHI:
Accusing the BJP MP of ignoring the demand for full statehood, AAP Delhi convener Gopal Rai said he remained silent on the issue of sealing which affected a large number of people in his constituency.
“The MP remained absent from his parliamentary constituency for the last five years. The village which he adopted under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana is crying for better roads. The village does not have college and health facilities,” Rai said. He pointed out that despite West Delhi consisting of a large number of villages, the BJP MP did nothing to get better minimum support prices for the farmers.
Analysing the funds spent through MPLAD funds, AAP claimed that Singh is yet to spend Rs 2.65 crore.
In response, Singh dared AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal to contest against him. “Whatever limited allegations that they were able to make were false, baseless and shallow. Regarding the SAGY village, there have been works of 12 crore that have been done in Jharoda village,” Singh said.
He added that other works he did include a 100-bed hospital in Najafgarh, three new stadiums, 50 new civic school buildings, extension of Metro till Dhansa stand, 12 new community centres and around 650 open gyms.
Singh also claimed he has spent all his MPLAD funds.
