Nitish slams PM for rapes in Delhi
BIHARSHARIF: CM Nitish Kumar on Monday attacked PM Narendra Modi for the rape of two minor girls in Delhi while addressing election rallies in Nalanda district.
He said PM Modi and BJP leaders were defaming Bihar that law and order had collapsed in the state in recent months, but the fact was that law and order in the national capital, where police were under the control of Union government, was in a bad shape.
He said crime against women in Delhi had shot up manifold and now even minor girls were not safe.
Citing National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) reports, Nitish said Delhi topped in crime record and BJP-ruled states had also recorded more crimes than Bihar. Still, NDA called the good governance here as 'jungle raj' even as Delhi was a fit case to be referred to as one.
Reiterating his seven-point development agenda, the CM said he had done a lot for development of the state and if he was returned to power, he would do the remaining work. Slamming BJP on the issue of black money and spiralling prices of onions and pulses, he said the PM was not concerned about these issues relating to common people as the NDA government was only bothered about big corporate houses.
