Mothabari Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: TMC’s Islam Md Najrul defeats BJP’s Nibaran Ghosh by 10,496 votes

In Mothabari, Islam Md Najrul of TMC secured a clear victory, polling 65,705 votes and defeating BJP’s Nibaran Ghosh by a margin of 10,496 votes. Ghosh finished second with 55,209 votes after all 17 EVM rounds were counted.

Sayem Chowdhury (Babu), contesting on a Congress ticket, is one of 8 candidates whose votes are being tallied in Mothabari May 4. As counting progresses, the round-wise figures will show how they have fared across the constituency.
