English Bazar Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP's Amlan Bhaduri (Buro) leading by a significant margin
Ambar Mitra (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Amlan Bhaduri (Buro) (Bharatiya Janata Party), Alam Masud (Congress), Asis Kundu (Pata) (Trinamool Congress), Nitish Kumar Mandal (Bahujan Samaj Party), Gautam Sarkar (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Md Unush Ali (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Asamay Mandal (Independent), Naresh Pal (Independent), Firoj Rahaman (Independent), Sanat Dutta (Independent), and Safiul Hoque (Independent) — 12 candidates contesting from English Bazar in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. English Bazar is a General constituency under the Maldaha Dakshin Lok Sabha segment, with 275,296 voters on its electoral rolls. In 2021, Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhury(Nirbhoy Didi) of the Bharatiya Janata Party won by a margin of 20,099 votes. The 2016 winner was Nihar Ranjan Ghosh of the Independent. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in English Bazar in 2026.
