In Ballygunge, Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay of the TMC registered a massive victory, polling 1,08,481 votes and defeating BJP’s Shatorupa by a margin of 61,476 votes. CPI(M)’s Afreen Begum finished third with 7,185 votes, as the constituency witnessed a dominant performance by the TMC.

Ballygunge recorded a turnout of 60.99% in 2021. The final tally in 2026 will reveal how participation and preferences may have shifted.
