Amit Samanta (Bharatiya Janata Party), Joshimuddin Mallick (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Tapan Das (Congress), Sukanta Kumar Paul (Trinamool Congress), Sanjeeb Santara (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Sk Masarekul Anowar (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Abhijit Show (Independent), Abhijit Hazra (Independent), Ashish Dolui (Independent), Kamal Krishna Malik (Independent), Baisakhi Malik (Independent), Saraswati Patra Sarkar (Independent), and Sk Sapiyar Ali (Independent) — 13 candidates contesting from Amta in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Amta is a General constituency under the Uluberia Lok Sabha segment. In 2021, SUKANTA KUMAR PAUL of the Trinamool Congress won by a margin of 26,205 votes. The 2016 winner was Asit Mitra of the Congress. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Amta in 2026.
