Prime minister Narendra Modi is expected to make a night stay on March 4 in Varanasi, which along with surrounding districts will go to polls in the last phase in the assembly elections, on March 7.

LUCKNOW: Prime minister Narendra Modi is expected to make a night stay on March 4 in Varanasi, which along with surrounding districts will go to polls in the last phase in the assembly elections, on March 7.
He is expected to hold rallies in surrounding districts of Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Sonebhadra etc and will come to Varanasi for a night stay.
The PM is also expected to hold some meetings with the BJP workers and office-bearers on the same day.

On March 5, which will be the last day for campaigning for the last phase of the polling, the PM is also expected to hold a roadshow. BJP general secretary and in charge of the PM’s programme in UP, Anoop Gupta told TOI that as of now the PM is expected to stay in Varanasi on March 4 and 5. However, the exact details of the programmes are still being finalised, he said.
The PM is also expected to be present in Varanasi on February 27. On February 27, he will be holding a meeting with the booth level workers of the eight Vidhan Sabhas in Varanasi district.
The programmes scheduled for Sunday will be held at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Gupta said, adding that five booth workers from each booth will participate in the programme. The PM is expected to interact with booth workers about the prospects of the elections and how everyone should work in the larger interest of the party, sources said.
